Country Junction Farms consists of
109 acres tucked away in Alvaton Georgia. This is where we raise and milk all of the Nubian goats that make our
wonderful product what it is today.
I started dabbling in making soap about 4 years ago when my grandson
developed eczema. All of the
medications that were tried on him to make it better just weren’t working. I had heard how beneficial goat’s milk
could be for our skin so I began incorporating it into the soap that I was
making and it completely turned his eczema around! Word got out in our family and amongst friends and before
you knew it Country Junction Soaps became a full-time company!
Country Junction Soaps at this point consists of myself,
Sandy Hurlbutt, and my daughter, Heather Medina. Not only are we creating an amazing product that people love
– we have become the perfect Mother-Daughter team, both with our own niches in
the company. The soap is created
on the farm and then it goes to Heather in Senoia, Georgia where it is packaged
and stored. Heather also has a
small gift shop at her residence where people can come if they are local to the
area anytime they need to.
We currently sell through our
website, Farmer’s Markets, Festivals & home parties. All of which have proven to be very
successful for us. We also have
various distributors that carry the products for resale in their storefronts.
Country Junction Soaps has grown
tremendously over the past year – We are hoping to expand even more in 2013 and
reach even more people who we know will love CJS products.
